Mariner Business Solutions’ point of sale solutions is best of the breed retail software providing user-friendly cashier layouts for touchscreen capabilities, as well as inventory management and customer integration. All of these features are included with the point of sale solution that integrates with Tessitura. This integration includes automatically adding members as customers to the sales transaction, recording members sales transactions in the Tessitura membership purchase history, synching and using any gift certificates from the Tessitura database in your gift ship.

There is no need to have two separate programs running at the Gift Shop register for monitoring members and gift certificates from Tessitura. Mariner Business Solutions software allows the cashiers to use a single screen at the point of sale register and use the integrated actions to sync members and gift cards with the Tessitura database. There are no extra steps to identify a customer as a member or use Tessitura gift certificates for a sales transaction. Mariner Business Solutions’ interface allows the cashier to find the member and complete the transaction without leaving the point of sale software. The cashier scans the membership card’s barcode from a cell phone or a printed card. The software takes over and does all the heavy lifting to find the member in the Tessitura database.

If the customer is a new member, no problem. The automatic integration identifies the new member and adds the customer to the point of sale program, allowing to complete the sale. Any associated member discounts or specials geared for the members is then instantly applied during the transaction. The cashier does not have to remember to include a discount if the customer is an active member. The point of sale system will automatically update the price associated with the membership level and discounts available for the membership level. The point of sale software identifies if the customer’s membership is active. The membership expiration dates are included in the customers setup in the point of sale solution. The Pricing rules and discounts are applied to the sales transaction only after the software verifies if the customer has an active membership. In addition, the point of sale software includes the ability to add a loyalty program for the customers and assist with customer management.

Multiple forms of payments are allowed for payment of the sales transaction. This includes partial or complete payments using a Gift Certificate purchased in Tessitura. The barcode on the gift certificate is scanned by the cashier during the sales transaction. The cashier can enter the full amount of the gift certificate or use a partial amount towards payment of the sales transaction. Once the sale has been completed, the gift certificate in Tessitura is automatically reduced by the amount used from the ticket. If for any reason, an item is returned from an earlier sales transaction that was paid, either fully or partially, with a gift certificate, the software will automatically create a new gift certificate for the amount in Tessitura. In addition, the cashier can scan the gift certificates to inform the customer what their remaining balance on the gift certificate prior to shopping.

Upon completion of the sale, the customer has the choice of receiving an email or printed receipt of the transaction. After the daily sales have been completed and posted to the history tables of the database, all purchases are updated to the member’s account in Tessitura. This provides ample information in Tessitura for marketing campaigns based on the members purchase history and possible future transactions.

The Inventory Management of the point of sale system allows the stores to maintain par levels for inventory, create purchase order advices, includes multiple pack sizes for easy vendor ordering, size and coloring tracking, and real-time inventory quantities on hand. The software easily handles multiple locations as well as using a distribution warehouse with the capability of creating transfers manually or automatically through receivings. There are also multiple solutions for mobile inventory tracking including using RFID, Windows mobile, and/or Android devices. RFID tagging is available in the software to fully integrate your products with RFID specific labels from a RFID-enabled printer and label stock. This process will streamline taking physical counts, and increase accuracy at the point of sale register.

Mariner Business Solution’s point of sale solution includes the ability to interface to your Shopify eCommerce site. Real-time inventory is updated from the point of sale system to the ecommerce site at user determined intervals. Orders placed online create customer orders in the point of sale software without any human intervention. Fulfillment of the order is completed in the point of sales software. The integration software includes multiple ways to handle images, vendor information, and variant information fields.
